The celebration of the life and contributions of Martin Luther King today in Canandaigua was held, appropriately, at the community's oldest church, the First Congregational Church, which was founded 200 years ago and from its beginning welcomed American Natives and African-Americans to its worship.

MHLS PROPOSED BYLAWS REVISION -  The Trustees Services Committee, which met on February 19, had recommended that the Board of Trustees consider requiring its members to attend a library trustee essentials workshop within three years of their being elected or within their first year serving as trustee.
